We paid particular attention to developing landing pages that invited people in and asked for email addresses at every opportunity to help develop leads: Our Work, Take Action, and Get Help. Another big change was moving our news/information site from a place to simply post press releases to a hub called The Latest, where you get blog posts from different authors invested in United Way's work, the latest photos and videos as well as upcoming events. This site also feeds a robust e-news program, run through MailChimp.
I ran the Content Development and Design team and wrote the bulk of the content that sits on the site. Currently, I manage all updates and align content across all of United Way of Rhode Island's digital channels.
